Sorry, couldn't resist this one. As a designer I'm always looking at stuff that turns me on from a visual perspective and I love logos and packaging. Now, the other week me and the girl were in Hobby Craft in Bolton looking for some craftyness and I came (sorry) across this AWESOME packaging for pencil sharpeners.

Childish? Yes. Brilliant? Yes!

Who says the Germans don't have a sense of humour.

    hahah I used to have a KUM pencil sharpener at school, no end of entertainment :)

    on a similar note, i noticed the other day that the tailgate latch on my Passat says "BUM" on it hehe

Been kinda off the boil the past couple of years or so with the whole modding caper, which can easily be seen when you look at the state of the VR. So, time to put things right. Plans are simple. The VR is battle worn so no point spending all my dollars getting her perfect so I'm gonna have some fun. So what's the plan? First up, get her through the MOT this week, bald tyres everywhere so I've resurrected my 15x8 Revolution hoops with silly low ET and strapped some spanking new 185/55/15 Nankang rubber on em. I love a balloon tyre so let's see how it looks when they're popped. The hoops are in a terrible state, I'm not a big polisher but i'm working on bringing the lips back to life at the moment. Rough and ready style, Autosol, tin foil and elbow grease with a look to painting the lips down the line. The rest of the plans are simple. VR gets some love for E38!

Before and after... Well it took some doing, in fact it took about 10 months, things take a bit longer when you're skint don't they. So the cack OZs have finally gone to the basement to be replaced by the 17" BBS Monzas (mk5 gti) and the worn koni suspension kit made way for some sweet FK Konigsport coilovers. Nice. We basically loaded my boot up with all the gear: shocks, adaptors (the BBS are 5x112 pcd as opposed to my 5x100 hubs), brakes and rims. As with anything to do with cars, nothing really went to plan. Removing shocks was surprisingly straightforward, but when we came to fit the brakes....it turned out the so-called 288mm discs I bought were actually 280mm, which aint any use really, so that had to be scrapped. Secondly, fitting adaptors was a cinch but when we came to fit the rims it turned out that the wheel bolts I'd been driving around on where wrong. The bolts were slightly too long and the seat was too deep. None of this mattered on the old rims as they...
